CPD in Whistler, Canada

Anticipate an extraordinary experience to submerge in the natural splendor of Whistler. The slopes of Whistler offer an array of outdoor activities, such as skiing, snowboarding, hiking, and mountain biking, making it an ideal location to unwind. With an impressive 8,100+ acres of terrain across the two side by side mountains, making up 200+ marked ski runs, ranging in level from beginner to advanced. Together with an annual snow fall of over 11.8 metres of white powder, skiers of all abilities are very well catered for in this beautiful winter playground. If you are in need of additional adrenaline, there are also options for heli skiing, an aerial zip track, snow mobile tours and bob sled rides.
But its not just the natural scenery and the thrill of winter sports that makes the conference exceptional, we have been running our Pacific Rim Conference in Whistler since 2018, enjoyed by a lot of our conference attendees are the networking events, the special guest speakers for the academic agendas, and also being able to catch up with fellow Whistler conference delegates that re-visit every year.

Academic Agenda

At CPE Conferences, our mission is twofold – to deliver high quality academic content from Australian and International specialists in medicine, law and dentistry and to provide access to experts local to the conference destination. Our longstanding tradition has been to push the delegates’ educational boundaries by exploring the conference destination not only through travel, but also through its medical and legal environment and political context.  We do this by arranging local expert speakers and academic field trips and believe this gives learning a new dimension.

The bulk of the academic content consists of leading Australian practitioners presenting on their area of expertise. To provide diversity in our academic agendas, and particularly to enable us to provide unique local experiences, we do not publish the academic agenda in advance. Often local presenters are unable to commit to a specific session time months in advance. We believe (and indeed our feedback reflects) that the local presenters and field trips add immeasurable value to the academic experience and as such we want to preserve our ability to include the local experts. The academic agenda is released on the day of Welcome Drinks, the day before the first academic sessions.

Apply To Speak

We encourage all our delegates to engage with the academic program by applying to present a topic at our conferences for a number reasons. Showcase your recent publication, interesting case, area of expertise or update on an important topic; approved applications receive a discounted registration rate; for some colleges or societies you may attract more CPD points. Our presenters often gain more from the networking aspects of the conference and have frequently been contacted after their presentation for professional development opportunities such as appearing as an expert witness, being briefed on a matter or other general referrals. We have two options when participating in our academic program, a full speaker registration or an Experts’ Forum presentation. Our speaker registration attracts a discounted fee, and requires a minimum of 1 hour presentation. An Experts’ Forum presentation is shorter in duration and does not attract a discount. It is for those wishing to present for a minimum of 20 minutes.
