Prepare your client for taking the oath or affirmation. Tribunals and courts take this very very seriously. The writer had one client when asked ‘Do you take the affirmation or oath’ and the client said ‘Does not matter whatever is easiest!’ It demonstrated rightly or wrongly that the witness did not care much about the oath.
