On 10 September 2016, a new stream was added to the Business Innovation and Investment (Provisional), subclass 188 visa and the Business Innovation, subclass 888 visa. The new stream is for individuals who have secured funding of at least AUD$200,000 from a third party funding body to facilitate the start-up of an innovation.
