How a client presents can be a negative. Advise clients in all dealings with DIBP, tribunals and courts to dress appropriately, for males at least a shirt and tie (preferably a suit) and for females one step up from casual attire (preferably neat business attire). Jewellery should be at a bare minimum, preferably no jewellery.  If one shows respect for the decision maker then there is a better chance of the decision maker showing respect for the client.
