More than 20 years’ experience of running CPE conferences has taught us a lot about what makes a stimulating academic program. Amongst each audience of conference delegates there is an abundance of knowledgeable, experienced and talented professionals who can provide excellent insight into their own specialty area.
Often during sessions the contribution by delegates based on their own practice was as important as the paper by the conference speaker. From this, the concept of the “Experts’ Forum” emerged. The program is enriched by delegates such as yourself who have expertise in a field and want to share their knowledge in a 20 or 30 minute structured presentation. Expert forum sessions in the past have made an important and lively contribution to the conference program.
Your topic could be a recent development, an exposition of a particular sub-specialty topic, a review of a recent interesting case or cases, a practice point, summary of research or summary or update of a recent paper given elsewhere. We also welcome submissions that are summaries or updates of a recent paper given or published elsewhere, previous research or reporting on a recent court decision or change in legislation. However, each talk would still have to meet the standards for a continuing professional education session. Depending on your college, Bar Association or Law Society, you may be able to claim extra CPD from an Experts’ forum presentation (read more here).
To encourage networking amongst conference attendees, we organise a number of unique events exclusive for our delegates. Please click on the below link to review and book your social activities.
